Note: The purpose of publishing the lists of persons whose names appear in the General Register and the Specialist Register respectively is to inform the public that:-
  (a) each person named in the General Register is qualified to practise medicine and surgery in Hong Kong under the Medical Registration Ordinance (Cap. 161); and
  (b) each person named in the Specialist Register is qualified to have his/her name included in the Specialist Register under a particular specialty.
Persons using the personal data therein for an unrelated purpose render themselves liable to action under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486).
