Election of Lay Members

According to section 3(2)(ga) of the Medical Registration Ordinance (Cap. 161), the Medical Council comprises, amongst others, 3 Lay Members elected by organizations registered as electors under the Medical Council (Election and Appointment of Lay Members) Regulation (Cap. 161F). According to section 3(3AAB) of Cap. 161, the elected Lay Members shall hold office for 3 years and are eligible for re‐election.
